This class focuses primarily on simple and natural principles, the way Mother Earth meant for bees to be raised.
  • Discussed topics: the history of beekeeping, starting and maintaining hives, seasonal management, treatment of pests and diseases, and more.
  • Activity: observe a working beehive to learn the difference between workers, drones, and the queen, as well as pollen, honey, wax/comb, larva and other products of the hive. Homesteaders, hobbyists, and entrepreneurs, welcome.
Cost is $25 per bee-student. Honey sampling and gift included.
