About Us
Green Winters evolved from a home based exotic plant removal and control business named Xotics. Owner, Wes Winters, has been involved with invasive plant control and habitat restoration for 10 years. Jennifer also has 10 years experience in environmental management.
The business successfully implements and maintains large scale habitat management projects. Some current and past clients are the City of Flagler Beach, Centex Homes, World Gateway, Marion County and locally, Ormond Lakes and Shelter Cove.
The home based business could no longer support our operations so we decided to expand and start a new phase to help educate and excite the community about native plants and more responsible ways of landscaping and gardening.
(This is also a way for Wes to turn what he likes to do most into a job he loves!)
We are a member of the Florida Native Plant Society, Florida Aquatic Plant Management Society, the Florida Exotic Pest Plant Council and are fully licensed and insured.
